It is vital that the Centre engages in consistent projects with European partners and gets accreditation from foreign bodies, as this enhances its operations and raises standards.

Above all, the Malta Drama Centre teaches, researches and activates programmes which bring an exciting and stimulating character to the lives of its many students. We are proud of this catalytic effect related to the theatrical disciplines, an effect which is proclaimed in the Centre's belief that drama should be regarded as a rehearsal for life.

I hope that this journey into the Centre's website will not only present an assessment of what goes on within an environment brimming with energy and talent, but also encourage many others to join the excitement.

A MESSAGE FROM THE MINSTER OF EDUCATION & CULTURE

It is my pleasure and privilege to address all those accessing the Malta Drama Centre's website.

Created way back in late 1977 on the basis of a Technical Cooperation Agreement  with Britain, the Centre has grown over decades from strength to strength. Today it provides training in a wide range of areas related to the performing arts to about 430 junior, intermediate and adult students.
